I can’t wait to show you how to prepare a gourmet gluten free, dairy free grilled cheese. For people with food sensitivities, grilled cheese (with its floury bread, gobs of butter and oozing cheese) doesn’t usually make it onto the menu. But those with sensitivities shouldn’t be left out! I decided to make a fabulous gluten and dairy free alternative anyone will love.
Dairy Free Mozzarella with Sun-dried Tomato and Basil on Brown Rice Bread
Quick Note: When preparing a dish for a food sensitive friend or family member, be sure to thoroughly clean counter tops, cooking surfaces and utensils to prevent cross-contamination.
Get started by following these steps: brush your gluten free bread (my favorite being whole grain brown rice bread) with extra virgin olive oil. Add several slices of dairy free mozzarella, sun-dried tomato halves, and large fresh basil leaves.
Brown on a stove top over moderate heat in non-stick pan, serve with Bare Fruit Granny Smith Apple Chips and ENJOY!
