Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks…

We enjoyed our time at Yankee Stadium and are excited to share our YouAnew spin on the day!! I often get questions about what to eat at ballgames. Most venues offer the good, the bad and the ugly. I want to take a few minutes to identify the best choices and point out the worst of the worst.

Our first food stop was a fabulous fresh fruit stand. With my little man on my hip, we checked-out the delish bananas and salads.

Know before you nosh!! I love that the calories are listed next to the food choices! Of course we know that fries are crazy full of calories (1200 per serving-YIKES), but who would think at 2300 calories, a jumbo popcorn is the worst offender in the park?!?

Think that pretzels are a better bet than a hot dog? Think again. The pretzel will cost you 630 cals; the foot long hot dog 500. Aside from the salads and fresh fruit, your best bets are the edamame, the avocado salad and the salmon roll.

There are a lot of wacky food options available-fried Oreos and Twinkies anyone?!? It’s important to consistently make the right choice. You can sabotage even your best efforts with one meal.

Make great memories with your family. Enjoy every minute of every game together and eat well to ensure that you will be healthy enough to enjoy many more!!
